Château de Pibarnon an exceptional land !

Catherine and Henri de Saint Victor bought the 3.5 ha from the Chateau de Pibarnon Domain, Bandol Appellation, Provence, France. This appellation (one of the first) owns its own grape variety: mourvèdre.

Catherine and Henri de Saint Victor worked hard to restore this old building made out of stones, with beginners’ strength and the respect of the land. This domain has an ideal sun exposition,- oriented south-east-, which allows grape to mature slowly and create incredible aromas.

Red wines from the chateau are made with 90 to 95 % of Mourvèdre grape, depending on which vintages. Tannins are thin and tight. The wine bouquet is powerful and thin at the same time. The wines are well-balanced. A traditional cuvée gives wines that can be kept: “vins de garde”. These are great as they are regularly classified at the wine contest: Concours Général de Paris.
