Chateau Carbonnieux is located 10 kilometres from Bordeaux. It overlooks one of of the largest vineyards in the Graves region with 47 hectares planted with red wine grapes and 43 with white grapes.

While Chateau Carbonnieux was in very poor condition after the troubled times of war and crisis, the Perrin family purchased the place in 1956. Nowadays, they also own chateaux Le Sartre, Tour-Léognan, Bois-Martin, Lafont-Menaut and Haut-Vigneau.

Carbonnieux vineyards have a gravelly soil of excellent quality and a favourable microclimate. Thanks to this terroir, spring frosts do not occur very often and vines may mature earlier than usual. Yields are limited thank to the age of vines, a poor soil, an excellent natural drainage and severe pruning.

With a careful management of individual vineyard plots followed through in the cellar, Carbonnieux white and red wines are Pessac-Léognan Crus Classés with many delicious aromas and flavours.
