Château de Sales is the largest estate in the Pomerol appellation with 90 hectares (47.5 hectares are planted with vines) and has belonged to the same family for more than five hundred years. The chateau is the first charterhouse to be built in the region. Its remarkable architecture and its refined setting are a true reflection of the elegance of its wines.

The soils are comprised of fine gravel and sand and make a marvellous terroir. Vine treatments are reduced and yields are controlled to ensure a harvest of healty, natural and ripe grapes. To preserve their qualities of freshness, fruitines and the characteristics of their terroir, the wines of Château de Sales only mature 6 months in barrels, of which a maximum of 5% are new. For all these reasons, they are amongs the fines wines of the Pomerol appellation!
