BordeauxChâteau Ducru Beaucaillou
Ranked as a Second Grand Cru in 1855, Château Ducru-Beaucaillou owes its name to the beautiful and large stones found in its unique wine-growing terroir and whose first quality is to produce fine wines. Overlooking the Gironde estuary, Ducru-Beaucaillou is a majestic, Victorian-style château which is unusually built above the barrel cellars as if it was sitting on a treasure.
Its 75 hectares are planted with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The estate belongs to the Borie family who also owns châteaus Lalande-Borie, Grand-Puy Lacoste, Haut-Batailley and Ducluzeau. Cultivated with great care, Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is a tasty and elegant wine.
