BordeauxChâteau l'Angelus

A scant kilometre from the famous bell-tower at Saint-Emilion, Château l’Angélus has belonged to the Boüard de Laforest for four generations. The estate owes its name to a small plot of vineyard, from which wine growers could heard the angelus ringing out from the closest three village churches. At the beginning of the 20th century, this parcel was purchased by Maurice de Boüard de Laforest, who already owned Château Mazerat.

Little by little Château l’Angélus was expanded and promoted to Premier Grand Cru Classé. The 26 ha vineyard is cultivated with care and commitment. It is planted with Merlot and Cabernet Franc with a southern exposure. Respect of traditional methods goes hand in hand with ongoing technical advancements so that each vintage achieves its peak of perfection.
