"Representative of Médoc’s greatest terroirs, Château Ramage la Batisse with its 85 ha of the finest gravel slopes produces a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur, Haut Médoc AOC, and a wine called Clos de Ramage. The latter comes from younger vines but the vinification and ageing practices remain the same. The other vines are around 30 years old (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot). Carefully attended to, these grape varietals are planted close to the village of Saint-Sauveur, near Pauillac.

All the harvesting is done by hand and is followed by a traditional vinification process carried out by Georges Pauli, a talented and renowned Bordeaux winemaker. The wines are aged individually, cru by cru and year by year. These good flavourful cedary clarets will be slowly aged (at least 12 months) in French oak barrels (30% new oak)."
