BurgundyDomaine Bouchard

The vineyard of Burgundy comprises 4 main appellations, Côte de Nuit, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise et Côte Mâcon, where 2 different grape-varieties grows, Pinot Noir for red wines and Chardonnay for white wines.
Among those 4 vineyards, the « Maison Bouchard Père et Fils » owns a unique range of renowned appellations.
Their estate stretches over 130 hectares, of which 12 hectares are of Grands Crus and 74 of Premiers Crus. The incomparable know-how of the House has passed from father to son since 1731.
Nowadays, all the stages of the wine making process, farming of the vines, manual harvests, vinification, are carefully looked after by Mr Christophe Bouchard, the actual technical director. At « Bouchard Père et Fils » we aim to respect the cycle of the vines, so that the soil reveals all its specificity. The ageing is also very important and the selection of the vats is very strict as they have, according to the brand philosophy, a crucial effect on the aroma and the tannins of each appellation.
