Champagne Moët et Chandon
Moët & Chandon, France’s leading Champagne House, was founded in 1743, in Epernay, high up in the Marne Valley, under the leadership of a wine trader named Claude Moët. As time went by, the estate acquired huge vineyards (770 hectares) in the best growing areas of Champagne.
The prestige cuvée Dom Pérignon has made Moët & Chandon even more famous. It is named after the famous Benedectine monk at the Abbey of Hautvillers who is said to have been Claude Moët’s friend. Moët & Chandon has built itself a real wine empire thanks to its association with Hennessy and its merger with Louis Vuitton which led to the creation of LVMH in 1987.
Never putting aside its qualitative objectives, Moët & Chandon’s production is impressing with 25 million bottles a year. This House shows that Champagne, THE luxury product, can be sold throughout the world in large volumes without selling its soul by an undeniable know-how and uncompromising quality standards.
Moët & Chandon’s style is inimitable with full, rich and exquisitely balanced cuvées whose fine elegance and character will seduce Champagne connoisseurs.
