Champagne Veuve Clicquot
Belonging to the luxury titan LVMH, the history of the House Clicquot began in the 18th century. Mrs Nicole Barbe Ponsardin from early on took a lively interest in the Champagne business of her husband François Clicquot. She took the reins of the estate at the untimely death of the latter without hesitation. At that time, she was a young widow of only 27. This self-willed and innovative woman did her utmost to develop and transform her family-in-law’s trade into a great Champagne House. She was even considered by her contemporaries as « La Grande Dame de la Champagne ».
Veuve Clicquot Champagne are made exclusively from grapes grown on the 382 hectares of the Veuve Clicquot vineyard and on those of winegrowers in the Champagne region. The House of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin has always had a soft spot for Pinot Noir.
Smooth and perfectly balanced, Veuve Clicquot Champagnes are synonymous with elegance and finesse. Appreciated by all connoisseurs of excellent champagne, luxury and celebration are associated with the legendary name Clicquot.
