At Bollinger's, the Grande Année rosé is a remarkable one. 1999 is a year which will amaze you!
Bollinger Grande Année is far more than a simple vintage… Some years, grapes are matured so close to perfection, it allows to create a mix from only one harvest. These years may be rare and exceptional but when it happens, Bollinger generates La Grande Cuvée as well. This one is based on a voluptous winy taste, with rich, complexe and intense aromas. The rosé of Bollinger, Grande Année is more intimist than the white one.
Drink it slightly fresh (10-12°C): you’re close to perfection!
Either drink it on the spot or keep in your cellar for 10 years
Perfect for gastronomic meals such as sea food (lobster), white meats (chicken)
Cépage : 62% of pinot Noir, 24% of Chardonnay and 14% of Pinot Meunier.
Vinification : It is an old oak barrels vinification. After being pourred into bottles, the foaming and the slow maturing of the wine are under the protection of the cork to avoid oxidation and preserve freshness. Wine maturing on dregs lasts at least 6 years and sometimes more. After manual stirring, Bollinger Grande Année has a low level of sugar: 10gr of sugar per litre. It is a 5 % of red wine blending.
