Eaux de VieLOUIS ROQUES
The Louis Roques Distillery was set up in 1905 in Souillac by Louis Roque, third generation of distillers. His plum eaux-de-vie aged in large oak casks became rapidly renowned. The family know-how has been transmitted for five generations. His grandson now runs the company and eagerly keeps the family secret of the meticulous blending of La Vieille Prune.
Copied, imitated, La Vieille Prune one century later still remains unmatched. Each bottle is still filled, corked, waxed and labelled by hand. Other eaux-de-vie such as the Vieille Noix (typical walnut-brandy from the Quercy Region), La Belle du Causse (liquor made from juniper berries) and La Belle de Châtaigne (chestnut liquor) complete the prestigious range of the Louis Roque Distillery with typical aperitifs and original liquors exclusively produced from fruits cultivated the region.
