Grappa is from Italy. It is an Eau de vie very popular there. It is made out of grape marc. There are several sort of Grappa:

• Grappa Giovani which is young and white. It is poured into bottles straight away after being distilled. It has a balanced structure, delicate aromas a dry and nice taste.

• Grappa Invecchiate which is matured in the cask: 12 months for the fine version, 18 months for the very fine version, also called ‘reserve’. It is more complex and its colour changes.

• Grappa Aromatiche is as an aromatised and perfumed grappa. The aromas used are: medicinal plants, spices, fruits...

• Grappa di Monovitigno is made with only one grape variety.
