Whisky BOWMORE

The Bowmore distillery still malts 30% of its barley nowadays. It uses onion-shaped pot still. Its single malt is not the most peaty of the Islay’s malts, but it is certainly the richer. Very maritime, it offers iodine and liquorice notes, along with a sherry flavour which is its trademark.
Since a few years, Bowmore is experimenting the maturation in specific barrels (sherry, porto, claret) making its single malt more accessible.
