Whisky GLENKINCHIE
Nestled in the fertile and rolling hills in the Lowlands, only about 15 miles from Edinburgh, the Glenkinchie Distillery was founded in 1837 by the Rate brothers and was originally named Milton Distillery.
One of the last active distilleries in the Lowlands, Glenkinchie uses two abnormally large classic pot stills to produce its famous “Classic Malts” collection launched in 1988.
Glenkinchie is a very fresh and pleasant whisky. After an aromatic and grassy nose, notes of barley and fruits (quince jam, pear) are smooth and pleasant to the palate. The finish is dry and characterized by light hints of peat and of ginger.
Perfect as an aperitif, this whisky can interestingly accompany a goat cheese.
