Located in the heart of the bustling port town of the same name, in the West Highlands, the Oban distillery was built in 1794 by the Stevenson brothers.

One of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland, Oban uses only the finest peaty barley produced in the North of Speyside and small, slender stills. Thanks to the combination of these elements and the closeness of the ocean, this single malt is misty and briny with a distinctive character and taste.

Its colour is between olive gold and pale amber and its nose is light, fine and well-balanced. Subtle notes of citrus and spices are followed by a smoky malty dryness. The finish is faint but distinct with hints of seaside salt, peat-smoke and exotic fruits in the finish.
