« A subtle and complex spirit ! » The distillery of Cragganmore (from the name of the neighbouring hill « Craggan Mor », the big rock in gaëlic) is nested at the end of a straight and sinuous road, in a corner of the Spey valley. Unlike most of the neighbouring distilleries, it uses a pure spring water characterized by a rocky flavour that underlines the fruity, complex and floral aromas of this whisky which offers an unusual minerality. Cragganmore slowly reveals its delicious flavours, and the attentive connoisseur will be offered an incredible finish with liquorice and burnt wood notes.
Nose : Smooth aromas with hints of grass and riverside flowers, and a fruity background of vanilla and honey. Palate : The body is firm and round. On the palate, the dominant malt flavour is punctuated by discreet notes of hearth fire and sandalwood.
