Domaine Marcel Richaud spreads over 20 ha of gravelly barren soils. This estate is located in a very nice place with the garrigue surrounding in the Rhône Valley, in Cairanne. Considered as one the best wine-makers of the Côtes du Rhône appellation, Marcel Richaud produces wines which are each year even more famous thanks to his perfectionnism and his know-how. His old vines aged between 40 and 50 are composed of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan.

In order to improve the quality of his Côtes du Rhône wines, Marcel Richaud has chosen the reasoned culture. Vineyards are either ploughed or grassed and only organic fertilizers are used and grapes are hand-picked. In the winery, the same care is taken: natural yeast, no fining and no filtration.

Some of the very great wines of the appellation, they will seduce you with their violet, spicy and liquorice notes. Dense and velvety, they are authentic wines which will easily accompany any meat or salad.
